The City of Bridges

Let's be honest, I knew absolutely nothing about Pittsburgh before our visit, let alone that it was known as the "city of bridges."  It has 446!  I decided a morning run was in order and found a scenic route along the water that had me cross over all 3 rivers - the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio -  and around the fountain in Point State Park at the confluence of the rivers.  Thank you, Map My Run!

We joined our friends later in the morning and walked to brunch at the Grand Concourse, a gorgeous, old, ornate train station.  All the boys thought the all-you-can eat buffet was the best part of the trip!

From the restaurant it was a quick walk to the Monongahela Incline, which is the oldest continuously operating funicular in the United States.  For just $2.50 we were treated to awesome views of the city skyline.  Who knew The 'Burgh was such a nice city?!
