Out With a Bang

We spent our last night in Disney back in the Magic Kingdom, trying to capture as much magic as we could before having to return to the routines of school and work.  We took advantage of that one day Photo Pass we purchased and made sure to stop whenever we saw a photographer.

We had a surprise meet & greet with Tinkerbell in front of Cinderella's castle...

...and the same with Lumiere in front of the Beast's castle.

Beauty and the Beast is absolutely one of my favorite Disney films of all time, but number one will forever be my girl Ariel, The Little Mermaid.

As dusk settled in, we staked claim on a spot in the plaza in front of Cinderella's castle for prime viewing of the Wishes Nighttime Spectactlar and fireworks display.

What a transformation the castle goes through as the night progresses!

The castle eventually becomes a giant video screen onto which many classic Disney movie scenes and songs are projected, and finally Tinkerbell takes flight from the highest spire before the fireworks begin.

We definitely ended our vacation with a bang!  It was a late night, but we even caught a little bit of the Electric Parade on our way out of the park.

I think our Mouseketeer had a great time overall!

Meanwhile, back at home, our neighbors were dealing with some crazy wind storms, and a huge tree fell on Ethan's house right across the street from us!  Amazingly the upper branches just touched the roof and gutters so the damage was relatively minimal.  We apparently had a large branch come down right between our two cars, missing both of them by inches.
