Top of the Rock

We took the train up to New York last weekend to see the city in all its holiday splendor.  When we went after Thanksgiving last year, most of the decorations weren't up just yet.  NYC is still one of Joseph's favorite places to go, and we haven't run out of things to do there - for example, going to the "Top of the Rock" observation decks of Rockefeller Center.

You know that classic photo of construction workers having lunch on a beam way up in the sky?  That was here!

The are 3 floors of indoor and outdoor observation decks 70 floors up, with panoramic views of the city that never sleeps (which must be spectacular when it's not pouring rain).

We capped off the night with a wonderful meal at a great Italian restaurant we found last time called Luna Piena.  Joseph loves his pesto!  We had big plans for the next day as well....
