Last week we were supposed to get hit with a snowstorm that Washingtonians affectionately dubbed "The Snowquester" (referencing the recently enacted budget cuts known as "The Sequester"). With the threat of 5-10 inches of snow in the city, there was widespread panic (as usual), and everything in sight shut down. Children were rejoicing with news of school being closed, and Mimi was excited to frolic in her first ever winter wonderland.
While places much further outside the District did get some accumulation, what we got, in reality, was a lot of rain and nowhere near an inch of heavy, wet snow. Just enough to make the cutest little snowman.
