The Thrill of the Hunt

Spring Break for all the local preschools was conveniently scheduled the week before Easter, so there are egg hunts left and right!  Our first was hosted by my friend Jocelyn (Zara's mom) at her parents' house.  She's the only person I've ever known to hide actual eggs (in addition to candy and toy filled plastic ones).  Five dozen hard boiled multicolor dyed eggs!!  And a craft table to boot.  I arrived early to help scatter things about the yard.

Jocelyn's mom started off all the festivities - the egg hunt itself and many games to follow - with a jolly good count to five and a bang on the gong.  Two days later Joseph is just telling me now how he didn't like it when the lady rang "the loud bell."

Joseph and Zara enjoying their haul!

Thanks for such a fun day, Jocelyn and Zara!  We' always have such a great time with you, and we're going to start expecting this every year :)
