One of our favorite Fall activities has always been apple and pumpkin picking. We were afraid we'd miss the peak season while out of town for our upcoming trip to San Francisco, so on a whim we decided to go yesterday morning. Also on a whim we decided to check out a new place instead of our usual Homestead Farms.
Joseph was into it from the get-go. Once we told him to start, he was pulling down apples left and right at lightening speed and stuffing them into his bag. I must have deleted 100 pictures of the back of his head.
One of the neat things about this new orchard was that they have something different to pick every season - raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, cherries. And this time of year they still have fields of flowers too. For $8 you can cut whatever speaks to you and fill up a bucket.
No idea what kind of flower this is, but it was so pretty and came in every color.
Hopefully we'll still be able to squeeze in another visit to one of the orchards for pumpkin picking and some Halloween festivities, but at least this was a great start to Fall!
