My parents live about 15 minutes from Sesame Place, which is a combo water park and amusement park in Pennsylvania. We tried to go during a visit last summer, but it was too cold and rainy, so we tried again this summer. SO. MUCH. FUN!
After studying the map (and teaching Grammy how to use my camera) we made a plan to check out all the "dry attractions" 1st. Turned out to be a great idea. There's too much to do in 1 day, and they must know this, since every pass you buy is a 2 day pass. Our 1st day was a Friday and the lines were waaaaaay shorter. Helpful, since we went on Elmo's Flying Fish ride a few times in a row.
Yes, in addition to an angelfish, a swordfish, and a catfish, there was a pigfish, which was Joe Joe's favorite. He also loved Ernie's Bed Bounce.
We moved on to a live show of "Elmo ROCKS!" We sat in the last row on purpose. You know why.
He really was amazed by it, even though in the end he only gave a little half-hearted clap-clap.
After lunch we also caught a parade. Prime seats near the starting point. Check out the video - I think Zoe would have pushed me over if I hadn't put my hand out!
So close to Big Bird, yet so far. We'd make up for that tomorrow......you'll see.
Getting a kid to nap after all that jazz is pretty darn hard!
We topped off the night with Mom's meatballs, and eagerly anticipated a wet and wild day 2 at Sesame Place. It would have been a perfect day if only Papa could have been with us.
