Grandpa had something very special in mind for Joseph during our recent trip - a visit to "Northlandz," a giant model railroad exhibit that he'd also taken my nephew and niece to when they were younger.

The signage could use little updating (and why they gotta spell it with a "z?"), but the inside was fantastic. The displays were cavernous, 2 stories tall in some places, with every imaginable setting.

Look how little Brent & Grandpa are compared to the mountain!

Everyone's favorite was the real train outside that you can ride around the grounds, through a tunnel and over a bridge, then back into the station.

You know they had a gift shop. And you know Grammy bought him MORE Thomas trains.

What a fun way to spend the morning! Thanks again to Grammy & Grandpa!
