This year's bird was sooo good! For whatever reason we thought we'd try out the brining phenomenon, and it was totally worth it. Mmm, mmm, moist. Our guests of honor were Mimi and Poppy, who flew in from Louisiana. While I was working on dinner, Mimi kept Joe Joe busy with a little craft project.
Poppy was a pro with the carving knife, and the whole meal looked as good as it tasted.
The one thing we're most thankful for? Duh! (But I am also thankful he didn't trash my Grammy's china.)
I do believe there were firemen and pirates alongside the pilgrims at that 1st Thanksgiving table. Hope you had a wonderful holiday and gobbled to your heart's content!
