Anyone up on their text messaging, or who recently rewatched Sleepless in Seattle, will know that "TTFN" stands for "Ta Ta For Now." We are WAY overdue to bring our computer in for a repair - something about RAM bank failure or something - and now is the time. Should have done it before Christmas, but there have just been so many important things to blog about, that we kept putting it off. It could take 2 weeks, so if you need a Joe Joe fix, you'll have to just keep watching that video of him laughing over and over and over until we get our laptop back and start posting again. Sorry!

Hop, Hop, Hooray!

It's Joseph's 1st Easter!

And let's not forget, it's also Brent's 40th birthday!
What a special day in our house! Wish you were here!

Joseph at 8 months

Joseph has had quite a busy month! He mastered sitting within days of the 7 month post, then started military crawling, as you all saw, But now he's up on all fours and getting the real crawling motions down, as well as trying to pull up to his knees and to standing. He got his 1st tooth at 7 1/2 months, and the 2nd is just about through too. He loves drinking ice water from a sippy cup, holds his own bottles, and is excited about finger foods, though the hand-eye-mouth coordination is a work in progress. He loves music, peekaboo, playing in the water, knocking down towers of blocks, and watching the cats. He's a good sleeper, and an all around happy boy!

And he would love to eat paper, if we let him.

I don't think anyone has seen this boy before - he gets so quiet in crowds- but this is what he's like every day at home!

Irish Eyes Are Smiling

(and Irish babies are drooling all over the place)

JT has a bit o' Irish in him, so we had to wish you all a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Just Ducky!

We are really overdue for some bathtime pictures! Haven't posted any since he was just about a month old. A rubber ducky has been used to preserve his modesty.

Dumb and Dumber

It was a perfectly fine idea to finally let Joseph try some self-feeding. We had the teething biscuits ready and waiting, and by sheer coincidence, he actually was teething! He totally loved it!

What was NOT the smartest idea was to do this an hour before we had dinner guests arriving! It was a disgusting mess, and he and his highchair were coated with a slimy cookie grime. We needed to hose down the highchair and race to give Joseph a bath, all while finishing cooking and cleaning the house.

And since I'm the blogger, Brent gets to be dumber :)

Go, Joe, Go!!

Or perhaps I should have called this "G.I. Joe," since you'll see our little guy kinda sorta almost doing a military crawl. Yes folks, I have finally managed, after many months and many attempts, to upload a video to Blogger!

It only took downloading a new browser, as recommended by my own personal "Geek Squad" (sorry Matt!), since the one that Mac's generally use didn't work. Enjoy, and look for many more to come!

When Joe and Jack hit the town, they know how to have a good time!

We introduced Jack to our local hangout, Turtle Park, which is an easy stroller ride from our house. It was near 60 degrees today, so it was the perfect thing to do on our playdate.

This was Joseph's 1st time in a swing, and he didn't quite get it - he just hung there in mid-air like a lead balloon (although he had just woken up from a nap, and it was a lot to take in). But Jack was really rockin' it, so he'll teach Joe the ropes.

3 Easy Steps

Here's how to learn to crawl:
Step 1: Get onto your tummy and start pushing up.

Step 2: Get up onto all fours and rock a little bit.

Step 3: Ummmm, push up with your legs as hard as you can so your butt goes up in the air and you faceplant?

We'll keep practicing!

Here's how Joseph feels when he's sick - lucky for us, it's pretty much the same as when he's healthy. He just had a little stomach bug (Brent and I are pointing fingers at each other over who brought it home from the office). This is what he had left to wear after he pooped through everything else. And yeah, then he pooped through that too, AND the towel that was supposed to protect the stroller. But everything cleaned up just fine.
